Abstract
1. Pedigrees of talipes cases were analysed and it was suggested that this character had been determined by more than one and additive genes.
2. The heritability of liability to talipes equinovarus in male sibs of male cases is 46.6 ± 2.358 per cent.
3. The risk of having another male child affected with talipes is 42/10 000.
