A case of cerebral mucormycosis in a four and a half year old boy with uremia and acidosis due to kidney disease and enteritis has been presented with a brief review of pertinent literature. Rare observations were thrombocytopenia and second fungus infection (Candida) in the gastrointestinal tract. A postmortem diagnosis was made. This case also demonstrated the usual rapid death of a patient with cerebral mucormycosis.
