Abstract
The relationship between coagulation factors and the spleen was investigated. The data suggest that factor VIII and other coagulation factors (F I, II, V, VII/X, X) are not synthesized in the spleen. However the spleen has a storage function for F VIII and some other factors such as F II, V, VII/X, X. It has also been found that anesthesia has no effect on the levels of the coagulation factors.
