Abstract
The correlation between the allergic skin tests and the results of the rat mast cell degranulation test was measured in a series of 42 allergic patients, using six pollens and four environmental allergens. Correlation coefficients between skin tests and RMCD tests varied from 0.57 to 0.90 depending on the allergen used. This result indicates a good correlation between the two methods.
